The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan met with the Minister in charge of Economic Security of Japan

On March 26, 2026, in Tokyo the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A. Bayramov, met with the Minister of Economic Security of Japan K. Onoda.

During the meeting, Ambassador A. Bayramov expressed gratitude for the work done to develop Turkmen-Japanese relations.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the development of relations between the two countries, specifically cooperation in various areas, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation, scientific and innovative collaboration, green technologies, education development and the identification of talented youth, cooperation between universities and organizations, economic security and cybersecurity.

K. Onoda also holds the position of Minister of State for “Cool Japan” strategy, Intellectual Property Strategy and Science and Technology Policy, and is a member of the Japan-Turkmenistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.
