EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS HELD IN TOKYO

On March 12, 2022, kicked off its work the 10-day exhibition on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries of Central Asia and Japan, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Embassies of Central Asian countries in Japan under the auspices of Kadokawa (Organizer of Arts and Culture) of Japan.

On March 14, 2022, within the framework of the above-mentioned exhibition, the Embassy of Turkmenistan held a cultural event under the title "Turkmen-Japanese Friendship". During the event, Japanese cultural figures, participants of the exhibition, were widely acquainted with Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan, its place and role in the world community, its achievements in the Turkmen-Japanese friendship over 30 years, its cultural heritage, traditions and national costumes.

The participants of the event were greatly impressed by the speeches about the Turkmen national carpet art, included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Humanity, and the national art of singing and dancing “Kyushdepdi”, included in the Representative List of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
