Four developments of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan are patented
Scientists of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Gas of the State Concern Turkmengaz had successful tests of reagent designated for borehole formation treatment at gas condensate deposit Gurrukbil. Use of active composition consisted of sulphuric acid and production wastes of oil-and-fats production plant allowed increasing filtration characteristics of the formation and production of drilling works.
Until recently, the reagents for borehole formation treatment were purchased from abroad. The reagent that was used at Gurrukubil deposit was made with sulphuric acid, which is produced by “Ak Sili” Individual Enterprise (Mary Velayat) from the bischofite –local raw material excavated by Garabogazsulphat Production Association.
Technological regulation of production of sulphuric acid for the entrepreneurs from Mary was developed by the scientists of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences. Washer solution made by Turkmen scientists can be used not only in petroleum sphere but also for removal of saline and iron oxide sediments from the surface of heat exchange and heating equipment used in power energy and other industries, calcareous sediment on marble, granite and other surfaces. According to the specialists, they combine high efficiency and low cost.
In January this year, the State Service of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Finances and Economy of Turkmenistan issued four patents for the inventions to the Institute of Chemistry, namely for innovative technology of removal of lime scale from surface of heat exchangers of industrial facilities, production of paints from production wastes, sulphuric concrete as well as the instrument for taking two samples from gas environment.
