The Head of Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan participates in the Tashkent meeting
Vice-premier, Head of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov took part in the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries, which was held in the capital of Uzbekistan, the website of the Foreign Ministry informs.
During the meeting in Tashkent, heads of foreign departments of Central Asian countries discussed the main aspects of cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Important components of international agenda including energy and transport security, improvement of investment climate and environment protection have been highlighted.
The sides reviewed opportunities of expansion of strategic partnership for support of economic growth, stability and security in the region. Aspects of preparation to coming consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states have also been discussed.
Speaking at the Summit, the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan noted the importance of collaboration of the countries of the region, which is based on the principles of goodwill and mutual respect and highlighted the significance of geopolitical, economic, transport and logistic potential of Central Asia.
The sides have agreed to continue coordinate work in the context of multi-aspect regional integration.
